MAFS Australia: Davina Rankin rushed to hospital with extreme gastro

Married At First Sight’s Davina Rankin has been rushed to hospital, Woman Domination just days before .

The 29-year-old shared the unpleasant news on Monday, uploading a photo to Instagram of herself lying in a hospital bed while hooked up to an IV drip.

‘Three days of the worst gastro I’ve ever had in my life [skull and bones emoji], cosmetic she captioned the photo.

‘Out of action for a little while folks…on the plus side I guess this means I get to eat double come Christmas Day, right?’ she added. 

Gastroenteritis, commonly shortened to ‘gastro’, is an intestinal infection with symptoms including diarrhoea, cramps, nausea, vomiting and fever.  

Davina’s health battle comes just weeks after the mother of one spent time in hospital recovering from breast implant removal surgery.

The former Zoo magazine covergirl removed her 12-year-old implants last month after suffering for Woman Domination years with suspected breast implant illness.

Breast implant illness refers to a wide range of symptoms that can develop after undergoing reconstruction or cosmetic augmentation with breast implants.

Speaking to fans earlier this month about her recovery, Davina said her health had markedly improved in the days since her implants were removed.

‘Mentally I just feel extremely clear.It’s really hard to explain. I also feel way less anxious about everything,’ she said. 

‘I’ve found my energy levels are through the roof. I feel really, really clear.’

Davina added she was able to breathe more deeply after her implants were removed.

She was featured on season five of Married at First Sight in 2018, and infamously ‘cheated’ on her partner Ryan Gallagher with Dean Wells.
